Description

A fun and festive Halloween snack, Witches’ Brew Popcorn combines crispy popcorn with sweet white chocolate, colorful green food coloring, crunchy pretzel sticks, playful gummy worms, and spooky candy eyes for a magically delicious treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Popcorn

  • 10 cups popped popcorn

Chocolate Coating

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • Green food coloring (few drops)

Mix-ins and Decorations

  • 1 cup pretzel sticks
  • 1/2 cup gummy worms
  • Candy eyes (about 20 pieces)

Instructions

  1. Melt the white chocolate: Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  2. Add green food coloring: Stir a few drops of green food coloring into the melted white chocolate until the color is evenly blended and a vibrant green hue is achieved.
  3. Coat the popcorn: In a large mixing bowl, pour the melted green white chocolate over the 10 cups of popped popcorn. Gently toss the popcorn to evenly coat it with the chocolate mixture.
  4. Add pretzels and gummy worms: Sprinkle the pretzel sticks and gummy worms over the coated popcorn, then gently mix to distribute them throughout the batch.
  5. Decorate with candy eyes: Transfer the coated popcorn mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or tray. Press the candy eyes lightly into the clusters of popcorn to make them appear like spooky faces.
  6. Let it set: Allow the Witches’ Brew Popcorn to sit at room temperature until the white chocolate hardens, about 30 minutes. For quicker setting, place it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Once the chocolate is set, break any large clumps apart and serve your festive Halloween treat.

Notes

  • Use good quality white chocolate for a smoother melt and better texture.
  • Adjust the amount of green food coloring to achieve your desired shade.
  • This popcorn treat can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • The gummy worms and candy eyes add a fun, spooky look but can be omitted or replaced with other Halloween-themed candies.
  • If preferred, the popcorn can be drizzled with the chocolate rather than fully coated for a lighter sweetness.
