This no-bake S’mores Bar recipe delivers the classic campfire flavor in a convenient, easy-to-make dessert bar. Combining graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, powdered sugar, rich Hershey chocolate bars, and mini marshmallows, these bars are perfect for a quick treat with the nostalgic taste of s’mores, without the need for roasting marshmallows over a fire.
Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 2 Cups graham cracker crumbs
- 8–12 Tablespoons melted butter
- ½ Cup powdered sugar
Filling & Topping
- 4 Hershey Chocolate Bars (4.4 ounces each)
- 1 package mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and melted butter. Stir thoroughly until the mixture holds together when pressed. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a greased or parchment-lined 9×13 inch baking pan to form the crust foundation.
- Add the chocolate layer: Break the Hershey chocolate bars into small pieces and evenly sprinkle them over the graham cracker crust, creating a smooth, chocolatey layer.
- Top with marshmallows: Spread the mini marshmallows evenly over the chocolate layer, covering it completely for that classic s’mores look and flavor.
- Melt and set the bars: Place the pan under a broiler or in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes, watching closely, until the marshmallows puff up and turn golden brown. Remove from oven promptly to prevent burning.
- Cool and serve: Allow the bars to cool at room temperature or refrigerate for 30 minutes to set before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy the gooey, chocolatey s’mores goodness!
Notes
- Use 8 tablespoons of butter for a firmer crust or up to 12 tablespoons for a richer, softer crust.
- Keep a close eye on the marshmallows under the broiler as they can burn quickly.
- Variations: Add a layer of peanut butter or use dark chocolate for a different twist.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
- For easier cutting, chill the bars in the fridge before slicing.
